The Ford Ranger Thunder is the equivalent of a cool cousin who's dad was even cooler

Ranger Thunder

The Ford Ranger Thunder is the equivalent of a cool cousin who's dad was even cooler, who had all the friends and got all the girls numbers. Eish baba ukuduma making people turn to have a closer look. The brains behind the Thunder had the buyer in mind because that 40-year-old who was into lumo in the '90s (not many can say they weren't) on black feel connected to the styling, genius!

You get the feeling the same brains said "give it a bigger set of balls". I bet most who buy the Ford Ranger Thunder will park it outside for those around to see what a big set of nutse has. I think Ford should make it mandatory you park your Ranger Thunder out and on display like those who have a babies arm holding an apple and go to nudist beaches. Yes yes yes there's the Wildtrak and Raptor ahead of the Thunder but given this new spin on the South Africian favourite, the Ford Ranger bakkie.

2 engines options to choose from

1. 147kW 3.2 turbo diesel 4x2 six-speed Auto

2. 157kW 2.0Bi-Turbo turbo diesel engine coupled to the 10-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0 is available in 4x4 or 4x2 versions

Specced Double Cab

Use the adaptive cruise control to automatically keep a safe following distance to the car in front of you. The lane-keeping aid is an amazing standard feature which helps you keep in your lane it vibrates the steering wheel when you drift out of your lane. It sips diesel like an old granny drinking tea, a big burly granny at 8.8l/100km averaging fuel economy it's less than cars a lot smaller with less appeal than the Ford Ranger Thunder. You want a specced double cab that turns heads? Kitted in the Thunder are LED daytime running lights, 7 air bags, trailer sway control, touchscreen infotainment system, tyre pressure monitoring, electrically adjustable driver’s seat and a tow bar

No Man Ever

No man ever wants to ask for help parking their car, this is different, you're not technically asking for help you're pushing a button on the Semi-Automatic Parallel Park Assist (SAPPA), which automatically steers the Ford Thunder into its parking spot with the driver needing only to operate the brake and throttle

Capable Adventure Seeker

Want to go offroad? After all, this is what a bakkie is for and the Ford Ranger Thunder is a capable adventure seeker. Enjoying 230mm ground clearance, low range, diff lock, four-wheel drive, and 800mm water wading depth bring on any off-road adventure

Lockable Roller Shutter

Ford designers put themselves in the consumer's shoes by lightning the tailgate which needs a lot less force to lift. The lockable roller shutter ensures the stuff in the back is safe and under that, they've added a nice touch in the cargo area management system which allows you to divide and securely hold odd-size items.

Some of the standout styling points are the black 18-inch rims Thunder models are exclusively available with. Inside the look is carried through with leather and red stitching, the front seats have Thunder embroidered in red, it's a nice place to be
